Upaway Customer Story
Find out how the Upaway team shares feedback and collaborates with video.

🎯 The Challenge
Upaway is a global, on-demand, travel concierge service. Their dedicated team is truly spread all over the world, from Portland to Istanbul and beyond.
Initially, the Upaway team started off onboarding in real time using video meetings. For example, it was common to try to find multiple times to meet online -live- to train a new employee.
This approach soon presented problems. Meeting “in real life,” as Kayla puts it, was just not efficient most of the time with teammates spread all over the globe. But neither was writing super long emails that no one wants to read.
💡 The Solution
The Upaway team quickly pivoted their new employee training approach. “Onboarding has really changed to asynchronous. It empowers the person to do the work at the right time for them,” says Kayla.
Now the team shares Weet how-to and instructional videos. This way the entire team can see the information on their own time.
Weets are editable, include screenshare and webcam video, and are able to be shared an unlimited amount of times. This makes Weet the perfect option for Upaway to share knowledge and onboard new employees.

📈 The Results
Since adding Weet to their daily tech stack, Upaway has been able to eliminate many tactical meetings. Kayla and the team have had “multiple weets that would have been meetings.” 83 so far to be exact – we counted!
The team mostly creates tutorials and how-to videos with Weet. Knowledge sharing is important in any organization, and the webcam and screen share combination is perfect for this.
In addition to onboarding, the Upaway team uses Weet for website creation, product development and feedback, customer support, new tool consideration, tutorials, referral strategies, email marketing campaigns feedback, and in weekly team meetings.
